About Accel Building Company

Late 1920s and early 1930s are said to have witnessed a structural revolution in aeronautics with the appearance of streamlined metal aircraft. Transition from wood to all-metal airplanes was completed by World War II. Ships switched from wood to metal by 1912. In 1916, Dodge was the first automaker to offer a vehicle with an all-steel body. The use of wood in auto construction gradually diminished, with American automakers phasing out their classic “woodie” wagons in the 1950s. We are not sure why home construction has been stuck in the “stick-built” age (we will leave it to historians) but we are proud to offer stronger, safer, healthier, eco-friendly, and energy efficient homes that provide return on investment against rising energy costs and standards.
